Jade Fitzgerald is a dedicated Nurse Educator with a Bachelor of Nursing and a Master of Nursing in Leadership and Management. Since beginning her career in 2011 at Brisbane’s Radiation Oncology Princess Alexandra Radiation Therapy Centre, Jade has built extensive expertise in radiation oncology nursing. She has played a pivotal role in the development of paediatric radiation services and has provided clinical care across all major tumour streams, including experience in techniques such as Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).
Jade’s leadership has been instrumental in advancing innovative cancer care models. Most recently, she led the nursing implementation of Icon Group’s first Gamma Knife program—an Australian-first for the organisation—ensuring safe, patient-centred integration of this highly specialised technology. Her work continues to bridge clinical excellence with strategic service development, with a strong focus on education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and improving outcomes for patients undergoing complex radiation treatments.
