
Dr Najmun Nahar is a senior radiation oncologist who specialises in Central Nervous System tumours and Breast Cancer. She completed her Radiation Oncology training and was awarded Fellowship of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) in 2006.
Dr Nahar works at the Western Sydney Local Health District, Westmead and Blacktown Hospitals and Genesis Cancer Care as a specialist radiation oncologist. She has extensive experience in the holistic care of patients with CNS tumours and Breast cancer in Western Sydney over the last 20 years. Her special interest lies in stereotactic radiosurgery for CNS tumours.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Nahar is the founding Network Director for Radiation Oncology training in Northern NSW which reflects her special interest in education and training. In her role as clinical supervisor and mentor for the Radiation Oncology trainees, she is responsible for teaching, training and guiding professional development. Dr Nahar is also an examiner for the RANZCR fellowship examinations, where she has been the lead for the pathology segment for the past 8 years. Dr Nahar is involved in local, national and international research and recognises the importance of this in the advances of medicine and day to day radiation oncology practice.
